About Autonics PID Controller

A Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller is a type of feedback control system widely used in various industrial processes and applications to regulate and control dynamic systems. It is particularly common in automation, robotics, and engineering fields. The PID controller continuously calculates an error value as the difference between a desired setpoint and a measured process variable. Based on this error, the controller adjusts the system to bring the process variable closer to the setpoint.

The Autonics PID controller has three main components:

1. Proportional (P) Term:

The proportional term is responsible for providing an output proportional to the current error.
The larger the error, the larger the corrective action applied by the controller.

2. Integral (I) Term:

The integral term is responsible for addressing the accumulated past errors over time.
It helps eliminate any steady-state error that may persist even with the proportional term alone.
It is particularly useful in systems with inherent biases.

3. Derivative (D) Term:

The derivative term is concerned with the rate of change of the error.
It anticipates future behavior based on the current rate of change of the error and helps to prevent overshooting.
It improves the system's stability and responsiveness.
